Music Project

For the music project I chose Feels Like We Only Go Backwards by Tame Impala. I cropped the photo into a square and used a blue filter. For the text I used a simple hand writing font with drop shadow and horizontal and vertical warp. I chose to use this picture with the song because the song feels like a long sad blurry day that you only slightly remember.

Nature Final

The overall theme of all four pictures is Nature.

 Edits: Simple black and white filter, clone stamp removal of back round jogger, and burn in the trees.

Space, there is a feeling of the man walking down the line slowly becoming smaller and smaller in space.

 Edits: Black and white filter, no other edits.

Texture, The twists in the barbed wire and the wooden post have distinct textures.

 Edits: Black and white filter, Clone stamp removal of power lines, and crop.

Form. The tree branches and trunks have a 3-D feeling.

Line, the shadows of the two trees lead the eyes to the center and so do the branches of the tree.

Texture Layers, Opacity and Blending Modes

For the texture overlay I used a photo of rocks which I burned and darkened before pasting over the flower. Opacity at 75%. Than removed the texture from the bottom half of the image. I really think the rock texture adds an almost zen feel to the whole image.

Text with Layer Blending Modes

Basic text with layer blending.

Chose simple colors with a simple black to white diagonal gradient. Warped the text into a wave with full vertical distortion and horizontal.  Light gray drop shadow and Blue neon. Finally a simple cloud texture and thats it.
